Before booking your appointment, please ensure you read through all of the following information carefully and thoroughly. This includes our booking policies, cancellation policy, contraindications and important information regarding your appointment.

What to Expect

A Japanese Head Spa is a luxurious, restorative experience designed to care for the scalp and hair while promoting deep relaxation. At Head Spa London, each experience combines specialist Japanese Head Spa techniques with carefully selected products and tools, creating a considered ritual tailored to your scalp and hair needs.

Depending on your chosen experience, your treatment may include therapeutic scalp, neck and shoulder massage, specialist scalp tools, gentle exfoliation, double cleansing, nourishing conditioning treatments, steam and refreshing water therapy. The techniques and tools used may vary according to your treatment and individual needs.

Our Signature Head Spa begins with a personalised consultation and detailed scalp analysis, allowing your therapist to understand your scalp and hair and tailor the experience accordingly.

Your Head Spa is designed to leave you feeling deeply relaxed, while your scalp feels refreshed, clean and cared for and your hair feels soft, nourished and revitalised.

Securing Your Appointment

To secure your appointment, a 50% deposit of the total booking amount is required at the time of booking. This deposit is essential to confirm your reservation and secure your appointment time.

The remaining balance will be due at the salon on the day of your appointment.

Please note that deposits are non-refundable and are subject to our cancellation and rescheduling policy.

What to Wear

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, as you will be lying down for the duration of your treatment.

Hair Preparation

Please ensure your hair is fully detangled and free from any products before your appointment. We ask that you do not wash your hair for 48 hours prior to your appointment, as this allows us to better assess your scalp and provide the most effective treatment.

For your safety and wellbeing, certain medical conditions, treatments or circumstances may prevent you from receiving a Japanese Head Spa treatment. Please read the following information carefully before booking and ensure you disclose any relevant conditions or concerns to us in advance.

A Head Spa treatment may not be suitable if you have:

• An active scalp condition, infection, open wounds, sores or severe irritation

• Severe sunburn or sunburnt skin on the scalp, neck or shoulders

• Recent surgery or a medical procedure affecting the head, neck or shoulders

• Recent Botox or facial aesthetic treatments where massage or pressure may be unsuitable

• Hair extensions, as full access to the scalp is required for the treatment

• Any condition that may be aggravated by massage, steam, water therapy or lying in a reclined position

• Any other medical condition or treatment that may affect your ability to safely receive the service

If you are unsure whether the treatment is suitable for you, please contact us before booking. Our therapists reserve the right to refuse or modify a treatment if they believe it may not be safe or appropriate to proceed.

By booking your appointment, you confirm that you have provided accurate and relevant information regarding your health and wellbeing and understand that it is your responsibility to inform us of any changes before your appointment.

Appointments are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. If you are unable to attend your appointment, you must reschedule at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time for your deposit to remain valid.

If you wish to reschedule your appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice, your existing deposit will be forfeited and a new 50% deposit will be required to secure your new appointment.

If you fail to attend your appointment without providing prior notice, you will be charged 100% of the full service price.

If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we may be unable to provide the full treatment time originally booked. Where possible, we will do our best to accommodate a shortened treatment; however, the full price of the original service will still be charged.

If we are unable to accommodate your appointment due to your late arrival, your 50% deposit may be forfeited.

For repeated or frequent late arrivals, we reserve the right to require 100% payment of the booked service as a late cancellation fee.

If you are travelling by public transport, the nearest Underground station is Caledonian Road, which is just a short walk from the salon. The nearest Overground station is Caledonian Road & Barnsbury.

Please allow enough time for your journey and aim to arrive on time for your appointment.
